First Day of Snow in Paris

01/04/2003 Entry: "We're Engaged!"
It finally snowed in Paris, and all is white -- including the ring on my finger. :) Yes, Garry and I are engaged; he proposed last night, after enjoying a wonderful dinner and a bottle of Marcel Deiss Late Harvest Riesling from Alsace. It was perfect, we were where we wanted to be, and doing exactly what we loved doing -- together.
We didn't even get to enjoy being engaged for more than a day because he had to leave for San Francisco this morning. I feel -- empty. I got used to him being here everyday for 2 weeks. Tomorrow I start work at 6am. It's going to be tough. Miss him already.

wow, he finally asked. congratulations. all i have to say is that ring better be platinum instead of the cheap white gold stuff or even worse, silver. well congratulations again to you and garry. i thought someone should congratulate garry too. shoot is it one or two r's. p.s. i hope you can delete this message if the ring isn't platinum...

Hi Karen...congratulations!! Dave just sent me the good news. Like Dave said, we knew it was coming...knew where it would happen, just didn't know when or how...glad to hear Garry got it right! The ring is aboslutely beautiful. Looking forward to the wedding merriment!

Congratulations Karen!! I was just thinking to myself "I wonder what ol'e garry's been up to these last few weeks. He said something about Paris...". Then I remembered he told me you had a blog, so I thought I would have a look. Suddenly I'm staring at a beautiful ring and beautiful news! My curiosity has pretty good timing, I suppose ;-). Congratulations again!

holy shit karen! hahaha congratulations! i just got your email and made my way back over here. yeahhhhhhhhhhhh! so like... when/where's the wedding? lol. congrats on that new diploma too! can't wait to try all the new desserts when u make your way back here. congrats on the engagement again! =D
